Meet the Team
Tracy Owens founded Triangle Nutrition Therapy in 1995 with the same principles that still hold true today – your body was meant to heal.
REGISTERED dietitians
Our dietitians use a functional and integrative approach to identify nutritional imbalances and deficiencies that are interacting with your health. By identifying the root causes, we can prevent, treat, and sometimes reverse chronic medical conditions rather
than just putting a bandaid on the problem. If you go to your medical appointments and leave feeling like they don’t listen or truly care, rest assured that at Triangle Nutrition Therapy, we collaborate closely with you to help you heal and feel good again!

Many people are frustrated with not feeling good anymore and/or they are tired of being prescribed multiple medications.
I help clients who are suffering with debilitating GI conditions like Crohn’s, Ulcerative Colitis, SIBO and IBS, or autoimmune conditions like Hashimoto’s hypothyroidism, MS, or conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes, or heart disease.
I practice Functional and Integrative Nutrition.
I am not your average dietitian that gives out the same basic (boring and ineffective) nutrition information to every single client. Instead, I dig deep and specialize in analyzing and assessing all of the facts and history behind you and your condition and then offer personalized recommendations.
I have been a Board Certified Sports Dietitian for the last 15 years.
I specialize in sports nutrition. I help athletes both optimize their performance and stay healthy. I also help athletes who are struggling with some of the same frustrating health issues listed above which keeps them from performing at their best. My love for sports nutrition was born out of all 4 of my children being very athletic and I saw the need for them to be well fueled and hydrated. They played football, baseball, tennis, soccer, along with swimming. Additionally, both of my daughters went on to play Division I soccer; and during that same time frame, I worked as the sports dietitian at another Division I University for 8 years. I have seen the overwhelming need for accurate and helpful sports nutrition strategies from a personal point of view as well as a professional point of view.
Amy Fitzgerald
MHS, RD, LD
Hi! I’m Amy, and I’m so happy you’re here. I know just how debilitating it can be to suffer from digestive issues and hormonal imbalances, because I've lived it. I help you feel better in your body - whether your goals are to improve health markers such as a1c or cholesterol, have pain-free cycles, manage PCOS, or just to take the confusion out of what to eat. My goal is to help you reconnect with your body, shift from restriction to abundance, and make sustainable changes with a healthy dose of self-love and grace.

When I am not working, I love to spend time outdoors. Originally from NC, I lasted about half a winter in Oregon before I realized I needed to embrace the rainy season. My winter months are now filled with snowboarding and skiing/ski touring around Mt. Hood, and it's been so much fun learning something new! In the warmer months, I enjoy road tripping, hiking, attempting (and failing) to keep up with my husband mountain biking, backpacking, and camping.
